My name is Kara Fauerbach. I am 21 years old, born and raised in Machesney Park, Illinois. I have an older brother and a younger sister. I graduated from Rockford Lutheran High school in 2011 with an aspiration to cook. At the young age of nine, I still vividly remember the day my mother turned on the Food Network Channel as the day my passion for cooking began.

I definitely have a long road ahead of me for my career. In my life there are a list of things I want to accomplish. Within this list are my short term goals and my long term goals. My short term goals will help me accomplish things later on in life. A couple of things in this short term list include working in a bakery and traveling around the world to learn about different cultures and the cuisine that accompanies them. Some of my long term goals include becoming a personal chef and a chef de cuisine. I look forward to accomplishing all of these and enjoying all the wonderful food and experiences my career entails. Thank you for visiting my blog. I encourage you to look around and get a feel for what I am all about!
Bon appétit,
Kara Fauerbach

Although most of my time is spent in the kitchen, cooking is not the only thing I enjoy doing. Besides cooking, health and wellness is also very important to me. Staying active is a major part of my life. When I cook for myself I tend to cook lighter. I love looking for new ways to get a dish that is full of flavor and not full of regret (there is always room for occasional indulgence). Along with cooking and making sure I am healthy by what I put into my body I also have a sweet side. I really enjoy baking; it lets me explore a side of food that I am not completely familiar with.
